C.A.S.H. Services

Through it's fair housing activities, C.A.S.H. Inc. supports decent, safe and sanitary housing for citizens of Wayne County. C.A.S.H. provides counseling for both tenants and landlords and acts as a tenant advocate to improve housing conditions. To learn more about the assistance provided by C.A.S.H. please respond to our Housing Coordinator.

The following services are provided through C.A.S.H.'s landlord/tenant counseling program:

Assistance in locating adequate housing.

Assistance with home improvements.

Rental assistance.

Advising both tenants and landlords of their legal rights and obligations. Areas of concern include evictions, rent increases, return of security deposits and property maintenance.

Property maintenance inspections for landlords and tenants under the New York State Uniform Code.

Budget counseling.

Referral of clients to other agencies for assistance. (i.e. public assistance, legal aide, food stamps, heat assistance). Help in filling out applications for assistance is also provided.

Counseling and advocacy services are provided at no cost.

Technical assistance for others involved in housing initiatives or advocacy issues for compliance with governmental regulations, handicapped specifications and Farmers Home Administration approved house plans is also available.
